Zach Lowry is a documentary and conflict photographer from New York City. His work focuses on political and envrionmental conflicts in volatile regions of the world. In 2018 his work from Mosul was curated for exhibition at Px3 Prix de la Photographie in Paris, where he also received an honorable mention in the war reportage category. "Last Days of Mosul" was also exhibited in Fall 2018 at the Lucie Awards in New York City, and at the Siena International Photo Awards. Zach was also selected for the elite Eddie Adams Workshop XXXI.

Currently he is in development on several long-term projects related to climate-induced displacement and resilience.

He is currently based in New York.



In July 2017, Zach traveled independently to Mosul, Iraq to document the impending liberation. The project evolved into a published photography book, "Last Days of Mosul" as well as a philanthropic gallery exhibition held in New York City on October 16th, 2017. 

The one-night event raised nearly $17,000 for Global Response Management, a medical NGO operating frontline field hospitals in conflict zones across Iraq.
